Your Moral Leader Sinks Into a Depression

by Michael Gregory Steele and Herman B. Hayes

I'm going to be honest with you, readers, I'm depressed. I haven't mentioned politics for almost two weeks and this is no accident. I devoted last week to intelligent design, a subject disconnected from the problems faced by the President and the rest of the Republican Party. Those negative news stories just make me sad.

The posts aren't coming regularly anymore because things have gotten so hard.

To be honest, if I wasn't paid so much to get up and go to work, I would find very little reason to get out of bed. Things are just such a mess in this country.

The Katrina situation has my beloved President spending like a liberal. Public support for Iraq is eroding as Americans turn into sniveling cowards. Indictments for the ridiculous Plame case are said to be forthcoming. Tom Delay has resigned from his leadership post because of an absurd political witch hunt.

Oh Lord, why have you forsaken your political party?

And let's not forget the Harriet Meirs nomination. On second thought, let's forget that one. If I stop to think about it for too long then I'm sure I won't have the energy to finish this post. What did I do to deserve all of this? I have been the perfect Christian, and yet all my dreams for this country are disintegrating before my very eyes. This isn't fair; I just don't deserve to suffer like this.

I'll just have to keep reminding God that I'm one of his favorites and that I don't need to be punished like those sinful liberals. Well, I'm going to go to sleep now. Hopefully things will look better tomorrow. Goodbye.

Michael: I don't understand.

I thought Bush did a heck of a job helping out the Katrina victims and I have no doubt he'll offset the spending by cutting Medicaid, Social Security, unemployment, welfare and a bunch of other useless government programs. I mean, in the long run we'll be saving money.

Public support for Iraq is very strong. These polls are just more liberal propaganda. I mean Iraq has been stabilized for so long now, why would anyone not be proud of what we have done there?

The lies about Karl Rove, Lewis Libby and probably Dick Cheney leaking a CIA agent's identity and the claim that this put our country at greater risk because the agent specialized in the area of weapons of mass destruction is just more liberal propaganda.

A Democrat is prosecuting Tom Delay. Need I say more? I mean the guy has only ever prosecuted Republicans and every one of them defeated the charges.

Bill Frist obviously didn't do any insider trading and the SEC will clear him shortly.

I think the Miers nomination is just our President having a chuckle. He'll no doubt retract his nomination as a signal of where a woman's place is… not in the Supreme Court.

I think these filthy liberals just got under your skin today. Sleep well and I'm sure you'll see everything is fine once you get some well deserved rest, but I'll do some rebuking for you just in case you're coming down with a mild case of demonic influenza.

In the name of Christ our Lord, I rebuke thee demons saddening our leader Michael Gregory Steele. I REBUKE THEE!

Hope you feel better.

I'm with you-I think our President is spending too much time listening to his wife, and not enough time listening to God. This moral failing had better right itself pretty soon.

It's all so familiar, a homosexual tries to recruit a straight man who is emotionally vulnerable. Problem is, I'm a little too smart to fall victim to the homosexual agenda. Keep it in your pants, deviant.

kirk: Thank you. Of course everything you've said is true. I have wrestled with those demons of sadness and am proud to say I've defeated them. Perhaps your rebuking helped, but I certainly am morally strong enough to defeat any demon alone.

conservative patriot: I too am deeply dissapointed by our President's actions, but I'm still holding out faith.

Even a symbolic action on President Bush's part would go a long way. Maybe he could end all his public addresses by saying: "God bless American, except for the homosexuals." This would at least show us that he's still committed to the family values.

kjc: I take it KJC is an acronym for Kill Jesus Christ. Well sir, your people already did that and God punished your kind for it. God does not believe in violence against Christians and yes, I agree, that God never spoke to Clinton.

It figures that you would automatically assume that KJC stands for something defamatory, except it just stands for my name. And I am not surprised that you would say that god was against violence to christians, and I should append my last statement. God was a pretty violent man, to everyone. Jesus, was the peaceful one, to everyone. If you were truly a christian, sir, you should be concerned about the obvious hate you have in your heart.
And I agree (gasp) God never spoke to Clinton. Neither did he speak to this president, who so obviously is a neurotic, narcissistic, troubled troubled man. I will leave you with rhetoric, since those of your ilk seem to like that. "When Clinton Lied, Nobody Died."
Good day, sir.

Christ Killer: It's just like a liberal to deny something when they are caught red handed. It makes sense that Clinton was your hero.

God is not a mere man, nor violent, as anyone that has read the Bible knows. I am a compassionate Christian, so I don't need you lecturing me on Christ's infinite love. I'm just glad that your blasphemy will earn you a nice spot alongside your liberal friend Stalin in the deepest hottest pits of Hell.

You say, "When Clinton Lied, Nobody Died." Well, tell that to Vince Foster.

You may not think that God talks to President Bush, but the fact that our country is so strong under his leadership is proof enough that the Almighty is guiding this great leader.

kjc: Get a life, don't you have something better to do than to pick on one of God's favorite children.

kirk: Good point. Bill Clinton is responsible for so many deaths he's practically a serial killer.

Gentlemen, It amazes me how discontented you are. Kirk, if you would read the bible, perhaps you would remember the plauges, and god allowed the killings of so many children that it makes the modern day abortion clinics look like a day care center. And he allowed the selling of women into slavery, daughters even. And I'm sorry that your television set is broken, so that you can't see him slinking off like the broken man he is. And as for you Mr. Gregory, if President Bush or even you Kirk friend are Gods chosen, he could not have chosen very wisely. And I seem to only note one name listed under thed deaths by Clinton, perhaps you would like me to list the dead soldiers, and the dead Iraqi's and the dead in Darfur, and the dead in New Orleans and Mississippi?
Oh, and my life's mission is to spread the real truth, not some mythological lie.

Dear MGS: I am so sorry that I have been on a mission trip with my family and not available to help you brave this spiritual crisis.

I know that you consult your Bible on a daily basis, so I don't need to even mention that! But I am also grateful to God for Fox News and Blogs for Bush (along with Conservatives for American Values, you and Mr. Hayes are number one and number two in my book!) Sean Hannity seems, for instance, to keep his chin up high and keep to the message no matter what happens. Attaboy! And I have not read Blogs for Bush, but I hear that they understand our leader is in trouble and that means, hey, we've just got to roll up our sleeves and work harder to praise his name!

I agree that these are tough times for all of us. But hey, were times any easier for OUR LORD? My Bible says heck no! The only thing to do when you're on the cross is pick up your chin and forgive those who know not what they do. Especially, let's face it, someone like kjc, who will not show us his blog or ever read deeply enough to know the truth about you and your special mission for God/Jesus/America. (same thing!)

God Bless and hey, if you are ever on the down low again, remember your friends and that we all love you in the Christian way of course!

Christ Killer: Your comparison of cleansing in the Bible to the murder of embryo babies is way over the line and it clearly was intended to illicit a reaction from me rather than foster an honest debate. I will not dignify your disgusting remark with a response.

Your ignorance on current events is astounding, almost as astounding as your ignorance with the Bible.

You would blame America for the deaths of nearly 2,000 U.S. soldiers and over 25,000 innocent Iraqi citizens rather than one of the chief architects of the September 11th attacks. That is absolutely incredible, but I wouldn't expect anything less from a liberal.

Even worse, you seem to think that somehow the United States is responsible for the deaths of the Sudanese. I've got news for you: The United States military wasn't in Sudan moron! Maybe if we were there the genocide wouldn't have occurred. You are simply a part of the blame America first crowd.

As far as Louisiana and Mississippi, President Bush hasn't been in office long enough to clean up the mess Clinton made of FEMA. He was forced to respond to an emergency with the FEMA he had, not the FEMA he wanted.

Michael is right, Clinton has left a trail of dead bodies and there is clear evidence of this. But, since you excuse Vince Foster's murder, what would be the point in listing the rest?

How much like a typical Repub. and "Christian" to resort to anger, and smearing when he's backed into a corner.

The comparison of cleansing in the Bible to the murder of embryo babies: You tell me what the difference is? How can you stand for the killing of innocent lives on one plane, but then turn around and be angry about it on another? How can you call it a cleansing? Would you stand for it, if it was happening in other countries? Which it is, and that brings us to Darfur, any true Christian with honest compassion would of wanted to step in and end the terrible killings there, our Present Nut had the opportunity many times over to aid in ending the "ethnic cleansing" but since they don't have oil I guess he wasn't interested.

And as for the FEMA fiasco, if he had put into place someone who actually had some intelligence, and experience things would of been different. May I remind you though of one simple truth, the ships with the troops and supplies were waiting to go into the state, all they were waiting for was the word from Bush, who chose not to give it for several days. There is proof of that too.

And, please by all means point me to the hard irrefutable facts of all these thousands of deaths under Clinton, I would very much like to see what you have to say on that.

And I'm sorry that your "faith" has so blinded you to the angry acts of Christ in the bible, which are a whole seperate issue from God's angry acts.( See the story of the fig tree, and the corrupt politicians in the temple) I believe that Jesus was a great teacher, but he was just a man. As for god, I don't follow any man or god that would tell me he is jealous, and there is no other. Why would he have to be jealous?

Well, regarding KJC...

unlike many anonymous commenters, at least he can spell correctly. He may have gone to college. Maybe that's where his problems began. So many fine young minds are corrupted by education.

I've said it before, it is our Christian duty to pity, not to censure.

In defense of KJC, which I believe truly stands for Keeping Jesus' Counsel I write:
Kirks first point:
Your ignorance on current events is astounding, almost as astounding
as your ignorance with the Bible.
You would blame America for the deaths of nearly 2,000 U.S. soldiers
and over 25,000 innocent Iraqi citizens rather than one of the chief architects of the September 11th attacks. That is absolutely
incredible, but I wouldn't expect anything less from a liberal.

My Response in bold

CHRIST WAS A LIBERAL YOU STUPID FUCKING ASSHOLE !

Your next point of idiocy:
Even worse, you seem to think that somehow the United States is
> responsible for the deaths of the Sudanese. I've got news for you: The
United States military wasn't in Sudan moron! Maybe if we were there
the genocide wouldn't have occurred. You are simply a part of the blame America first crowd.

My resoponse:

Ever heard of Darfur? Rwanda? When it comes to helping to defend anyone who does not happen to be a WASP, or more specifically an ignorant phony evangelical ‘Christian’ mob from the red states (a festering wart on the ass
of America since before the ink had dried on Lee’s chickenshit surrender at Appomattox) you people just don’t care. Where is your moral outrage at the ‘collateral damage’ that has murdered thousands of innocent women and children in Iraq? Here is your homework assignment: do a bit of research on the firebombing of Japan in 1945 as well as that of civilians in Dresden and compare and contrast to the current atrocities in Baghdad. 500 words or so would be cool….for a start.

Your next moronic implication:
As far as Louisiana and Mississippi, President Bush hasn't been in
office long enough to clean up the mess Clinton made of FEMA. He was
forced to respond to an emergency with the FEMA he had, not the FEMA
he wanted.

To you I say this:
Sorry, the FOX version of reality doesn’t fly here, FEMA was a part of the largest expansion in the history of U.S. Gov’t (save me the anti BIG
government hypocrisy, I have done the math) and your idiot king just didn’t give enough of a shit about the poor black folk who were drowning or otherwise being forced into Social Darwinism due to the horrible devastation of Katrina…however, I am sure that he would have wasted no time whatsoever
in flying to the sight of the initial landfall and desperately waving his arms like Moses had Terri Schiavo been in the path and the support of

Your final point I believe:
Michael is right, Clinton has left a trail of dead bodies and there is
clear evidence of this. But, since you excuse Vince Foster's murder,
what would be the point in listing the rest?

My move,"Check and Mate":
I used to think that this was just more conspiratorial right wing bullshit until I did a bit of research of my own and SURPRISE found out that Ollie North’s drug smuggling planes just happened to make stops at Mena Arkansas. And now the million dollar question: What former head of the CIA happened to be V.P from 1981-89, Pres from 1989 and influential daddy from 2001-present?. The sick thing is that now I do think that ‘Slick Willie’ and his gangster moll Hillary were actually working with the same thugs that Daddy Bush and Reagan were and dead men tell no tales…..face it, the entire
system is corrupt beyond your wildest dreams and the body in Fort Marcy Park is only one of many along the trail of treasonous conduct.
This must totally blow your ass away, after all it deviates from your right wing talking points, go ahead and hit your reply button on this and see what your masters have to say like the obedient little doggie that you are.

You idiots are all being played for fools to empower the radical neo-liberal (look it up) One World Government agenda and the appointment of the incompetent lesbian Harriet Miers is your reward.

CONGRATULATONS! YOU HAVE JUST LOST THE CULTURE WARS!

Christ Killer: Anger? I don't recall an angry post, I just recall posting the truth.

You still can't accept that the U.S. military was not in Darfur and had nothing to do with the massacre there. I know that you want to believe that the Janjaweed was some crack U.S. special forces unit, but no matter how many times you say differently the fact remains that they were a Sudanese militia. Quit trying to denigrate the patriotism of our fine servicemen. If our forces were in Sudan, the genocide wouldn't have happened.

Michael Brown did a heck of a job after the hurricanes. All the media have said so. FEMA was such a bloated inefficient agency when Clinton got done with it that Bush still hasn't been able to trim enough fat off of it to make it responsive like a private corporation. I can't even imagine what would have happened under Clinton when that hurricane hit. Wait, yes I can. Millions of people would be deader than Vince Foster.

Maybe if you would stop listening to the liberal media you wouldn't have to ask me about the trail of dead bodies.

Jesus was God our Savior and he taught us that people like you will suffer Hell on Earth once the rapture comes. I can't wait, because I will be in Heaven eating popcorn and having my feet massaged by beautiful angels while watching you suffer in agony. Maybe I'll even shout down some tips to the fallen one on how to char you better. (I'm quite handy with the barbeque if I do say so myself.) It's just one of the perks of being a good Christian.

Barking Moonbat: Obviously, I agree with you about the Z.O.G. and the Clinton murders, but I think you are just saying this as a hook to try and convert me. It won't work.

Christ was definitely a conservative, just look at all the righteous church leaders on T.V. Let's see: Jerry Falwell – Conservative, Pat Robinson – Conservative, Benny Hinn – Conservative. Hmm, no liberals there. Wonder why? Oh, because they are all godless heathens that's why.

It's just like a liberal to defile the loss of innocent lives that Saddam Hussein caused by simply labeling them "collateral damage."

Of course if President Bush had trimmed down FEMA faster it would have been more responsive to the needs of the hurricane victims, but you can't fault President Bush for not being able to undo the damage Clinton caused with his big government programs in time for Hurricane Katrina. If we had outsourced FEMA to Halliburton everyone would have been better off, but the Demoncrats would never allow that now would they?

Your conspiracy theories show just how insane you are.
